This is WikiQuedia, where I store every note I take from my mechanical engineering bachelor courses.
github page
Introduction
The goal for WikiQuedia is to have a database I can access anywhere, anytime, with explanations that help me get a complete understanding as fast as possible in case I forget stuff.
The wiki is focused on engineering physics.
For most notes I will focus on the geometry first, and mathematical understanding after. I find this to be the easiest way to get a good understanding.
Any note in this wiki is a summary of concepts from either a course or a book from my study. Usually however, I find the courses or books (most of all math texts) to be not in-depth enough or lack background info, so I’ll do background research to fill in the gaps or find better explanations. I will try to link any resources I used to form my understanding at the bottom of the page under the chapter “Based On”.
Warning
This wiki is not made to be used as a stand-in for a university course, instead, like Wikipedia, it is optimized for looking up concepts. This means that the wiki doesn’t follow the progression a university course typically has. That said, I will try to write in such a way that all pages are understandable irrespective of understanding of other notes on the subject.
Though I take no responsibility for this, the wiki should be usable to replace or give background to a course.
About Me
I’m a bachelor student mechanical engineering at the Vrije Universiteit and University of Twente, in the Netherlands.
I have previously completed a year at the Technische Universiteit Delft.
Apart from that I have no significant credentials in engineering and any info in this wiki is my personal summary of what I deem to be important for understanding a course.
WikiQuedia is a side project of mine where I store all my notes from my bachelor Mechanical Engineering at the Vrije Universiteit and University of Twente. The goal of this project is for me to have a database I can reference whenever I forget subjects or information, without having to search tediously through pages and pages of books, and having it update and sync across my devices. The explanations covered here are ones I find give a useful interpretation of the subject matter next to covering the standard textbook explanation. Even though I made this mainly for personal use, I decided to host it online so friends and otherwise can use or reference it as desired.
